It assists vulnerable communities in reducing their reliance on humanitarian aid and helps facilitate their transition toward long-term, sustainable, and self-reliant development. Focus is affiliated with the Aga Khan Development Network, a global group of institutions dedicated to improving living conditions and expanding opportunities for people of all backgrounds in selected regions of the developing world.<\/p><p>Building on a series of successful initiatives to support communities affected by natural and human-induced disasters in South and Central Asia, Focus awarded Protek Yapi a contract to carry out structural assessments and retrofitting design for six AKDN\/AKHS facilities, including clinics and hospitals located in Kabul, Baghlan, and Badakhshan provinces.
