Project Objective:
To enhance the capabilities of fire and disaster management services within Turkish municipalities for effective and timely response to various incidents, including fires, floods, storms, wildfires, and earthquakes. The project supports municipalities by providing resources, strengthening capacities, and increasing local communities’ preparedness and awareness of natural hazards.

Services Provided by Vesta:

1. Methodology and Project Initiation Report:
   • Identification of analytical techniques, including statistical analysis, risk assessment, and multi-criteria decision-making.
   • Development of data collection methods, including questionnaires, interviews, observations, and group sessions.
   • Detailed work plan outlining activities at each project stage.
2. Preliminary Needs Assessment Report:
   • Evaluation of municipal capacities and preparedness for incidents and natural disasters.
   • Assessment of population risk awareness, vulnerability, and preparedness.
   • Review of prior responses to wildfires and similar natural hazards.
   • Provision of an initial list of projects, including equipment provision, infrastructure development, and awareness campaigns.
   • Detailed explanation of findings and diagnoses based on the applied methodology.
3. Final Needs Assessment Report:
   • Review and evaluation of feedback and recommendations.
   • Detailed justification of the preliminary report findings.
   • Preparation of a project list with detailed descriptions, cost estimates, and implementation recommendations.
   • Provision of tailored recommendations to local authorities based on the needs analysis.
