Start Date: 2014
Duration of Consulting Services: 7 months
Client: Aga Khan Agency for Habitat
Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) agencies manage over 6,000 facilities and infrastructure assets across Afghanistan, India, Pakistan, and Tajikistan. These facilities include schools, hospitals, health centers, Jamatkhanas, offices, warehouses, residential units, and other buildings. As many of these structures are located in high-seismic-risk zones, there is an urgent need to assess their structural and non-structural safety. This project was initiated to prioritize the most critical facilities requiring additional structural and non-structural audits. The project was planned and implemented across three partially overlapping phases.
