Description :

The earthquake and multi-hazard vulnerability of the Faizabad Provincial Hospital and Maternity Hospital has been evaluated in a qualitative and quantitative manner, through visual and non-destructive testing, using structural classification and characteristics related to their earthquake response, past earthquake damages, settlements, existing cracks, existing structural interventions, modification and change of use, degree of maintenance and other observable structural indicators. Structural damages in the buildings have been documented / photographed and placed in the inventory.

  • Assessment and verification of actual status of the structure
  • Preliminary analysis for retrofitting and rehabilitation of the structure
  • Feasibility and appropriateness for retrofit measures, considering
    conventional and innovative techniques, and develop long-term sector plans
  • Final Development and model the retrofitting design,
  • Cost-benefit analysis of recommended actions,
  • Recommend mitigation of non-structural components, etc
